As a Teaching Assistant, you will assist the classroom teacher with classroom duties and instruction. Responsibilities

Assist students individually and in small groups Supervise students in the classroom and elsewhere in the school Enforce classroom rules and procedures Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records Communicate with parents and school personnel as requested by the head teacher

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required Previous experience as a teaching assistant is preferred Understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to closely adhere to the guidelines Excellent verbal and written communication skills Energetic and positive attitude Ability to pass a background check
