Be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for children. 2+ years’ experience as a lead teacher within a childcare center. Associate degree or higher in ECE or related degree (preferred) or High school diploma/GED (required) Ability to meet state/local childcare licensing requirement
CDA
Credential: A current Child Development Associate (CDA) credential from the Council for Professional Recognition is a common requirement.
An Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development is another option.
A Technical College Diploma (TCD) or Technical Certificate of Credit (TCC) in Early Childhood Education or Child Development also meets the requirement.
A Bachelor's degree, especially in Early Childhood Education, is another acceptable qualification.
