Lead Twos Teacher – Early Childhood Classroom

The Learning Experience – Tuckahoe is seeking an experienced Lead Twos Teacher to guide a classroom serving 2-year-old learners during an important stage of language development, independence, and social-emotional growth.

This role focuses on creating engaging classroom experiences through structured routines, hands-on learning activities, and positive teacher-child relationships that help children build confidence and early learning foundations.

Key Responsibilities

Lead daily classroom routines and activities for 2-year-old children Support language development, social interaction, and independence skills Implement developmentally appropriate learning experiences and classroom centers Maintain a safe, organized, and engaging classroom environment Guide assistant teachers and maintain classroom consistency Communicate regularly with families regarding routines, milestones, and classroom updates Ensure compliance with New York State childcare licensing requirements

Qualifications

Minimum 12 credits in Early Childhood Education required, or CDA, Associate’s degree, or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education Prior toddler or twos classroom experience preferred Strong classroom management and communication skills Reliable, nurturing, and collaborative teaching approach Must meet New York State childcare licensing requirements
