Requires a Bachelor's degree in Applied Linguistics, Education, or a related field along with ESL teaching experience. A Master's degree in TESOL or related fields and cross-cultural teaching experience are preferred.
HTIC seeks qualified ESL instructors to teach in short-term, customized programs. Appointments are casual, part-time, and vary in length (from a few days to eight weeks). Instruction schedules typically range from 90 minutes to 3 hours per day.
Plan and teach ESL classes in areas such as conversation, reading, writing, culture, or English for specific purposes (e.g., business, nursing). Facilitate interactive, task-based learning experiences. Incorporate program objectives into lesson design and assessment. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure program quality. Support a multicultural classroom that respects linguistic and cultural diversity.
Bachelor’s degree in Applied Linguistics, Education, or related field. ESL teaching experience. Strong English communication skills (oral and written). Knowledge of ESL teaching methods.
Master’s degree in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, or related field. Experience teaching international students of different ages and backgrounds. Overseas or cross-cultural teaching/living experience. Familiarity with current TESOL trends and resources. Compensation & Details Pay Rate: $38/hour - $42/hour (based on completed educational degree) Schedule: Varies; mornings or afternoons depending on program needs. Travel Assistance: Not provided.
