Position Summary

Trinity Valley School is seeking qualified and compassionate Substitute School Nurses to provide health services and support to students and staff on an as-needed basis. The substitute school nurse will fill in during absences of the regular school nurses and will be responsible for promoting health and wellness, administering medications, and responding to medical needs and emergencies during the school day. Substitute nurses may also have the opportunity to attend school trips where medical assistance is needed. These opportunities will be offered on an opt-in basis. Key Responsibilities: Provide direct nursing care to students and staff, including first aid and emergency care. Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and school policies. Maintain accurate health records and documentation using Magnus Software Monitor students with chronic health conditions and implement individual health care plans. Collaborate with parents, teachers, and administrators regarding student health issues. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal health regulations. Support public health initiatives, including screenings and immunization compliance.

Qualifications

Required: Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas.

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN).
