Position Summary
Bambini Montessori Academy is seeking passionate, caring, and enthusiastic educators who genuinely love working with children and want to make a difference in their lives.
As a Twos Teacher, you will create and implement engaging, age-appropriate lessons in a safe, loving, and structured classroom environment. You will support each child’s academic, emotional, and social development through observation, individualized learning experiences, and positive classroom guidance.
- Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement daily lessons and activities aligned with Maryland Early Learning Standards and Montessori principles
- Maintain a classroom environment that meets MSDE and OCC safety/compliance standards
- Observe, assess, and document children’s growth and development
- Foster a respectful, positive, and inclusive classroom culture
- Build strong and professional partnerships with families
- Collaborate with co-teachers and school administrators
- Attend required staff meetings, workshops, and professional development trainings
- Maintain accurate attendance, incident, and progress records
- Support classroom management, transitions, supervision, organization, and cleanliness
Qualifications
- Must be at least 19 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent required (college coursework preferred)
- Completion of the 90-hour Preschool Teacher Certification approved by the MSDE Office of Child Care
- 45-hour Child Growth & Development
- 45-hour Preschool Curriculum Course
- 9-hour Communication Course approved by MSDE
- Basic Health and Safety Training approved by MSDE
- Current First Aid & CPR Certification
- Maryland State background check and fingerprint clearance
- Experience in an early childhood or Montessori setting preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field
- Montessori Certification (AMI, AMS, or MACTE accredited)
- Two or more years of experience in a licensed early childhood program
