Job description

Essential Functions
The 7th Grade Math Teacher instructs middle school students in foundational algebraic concepts, proportional reasoning, and geometric principles. This role requires an educator who can translate abstract math into real-world applications while managing the unique social-emotional needs of early adolescents. The ideal candidate creates an inclusive, structured environment where students build both mathematical confidence and critical thinking skills.
Key Responsibilities • Direct Instruction
- Deliver engaging, data-driven math lessons to diverse classes of 7th-grade students.
- Curriculum
- Alignment: Implement a rigorous curriculum aligned with state standards, focusing on rational numbers, equations, and statistics.
- Differentiation: Modify lessons to support students with IEPs/504 plans while providing extension activities for advanced learners.
- Assessment &
- Analysis: Design formative and summative assessments, analyze performance data, and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.

Qualifications
- Teaching students how to analyze texts, improve writing skills (essays, narratives, research projects and expressing themselves effectively
- Helping students develop critical thinking, analytical abilities, and a deeper understanding of literature and language.
- Evaluating student work through assignments, quizzes, and essays to assess progress and provide feedback.
- Must be PA Certified
- Physical Demands
- Speak, stand, talk, walk, see, hear and, sometimes, to sit.
- Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
