Key responsibilities

  • Teach assigned in-person sociology courses following the college’s curriculum and academic standards.
  • Develop and implement instructional materials that enhance student understanding of sociological concepts.
  • Engage students through interactive lectures, discussions, and real-world applications of sociology.
  • Assess student performance through assignments, exams, and class participation.
  • Provide timely feedback, academic support, and mentorship to students.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress.
  • Stay updated on developments in sociology and incorporate relevant topics into coursework.
  • Adhere to college policies and participate in faculty meetings and training as required.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or higher in Sociology or a closely related field.
  • Previous teaching experience at the college or university level is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student success and inclusive learning.
