Location
Lebanon & Sweet Home, Oregon Full-Time | 40 Hours/Week $20.25–$21.75/hour DOE
Do you have a passion for helping youth and families succeed at home, in school, and in their community? We are looking for a compassionate, energetic, and team-oriented Community-Based Skills Trainer to join our prevention and behavioral health team serving Linn County communities.
In this role, you’ll make a direct impact in the lives of school-aged youth by providing hands-on support, skills training, behavioral coaching, and encouragement where it matters most — in schools, homes, and community settings.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building positive relationships, collaborating with schools and families, and helping young people develop the tools they need to thrive.
- What you’ll do
- Provide individual, family, and group skills training for youth and caregivers
- Support students in building healthy behaviors, coping skills, communication, and emotional regulation
- Collaborate with schools, families, and community partners to support treatment goals
- Help create positive and healthy school environments
- Coach caregivers and school staff in effective behavioral support techniques
- Participate in treatment planning, team meetings, and case coordination
- Monitor client progress and maintain professional documentation
- Respond appropriately to crisis situations and support client safety
- Connect families with community resources and support services
- What we’re looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Sciences or related field preferred
- At least 2 years of experience working with at-risk youth in behavioral health, education, social services, or treatment settings
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Understanding of school systems and community-based services
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and acceptable driving record
