Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our school-based therapy team. Under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT), the PTA will assist in implementing therapy plans, providing direct services, and supporting students’ mobility, strength, and functional independence in the school setting.
- Key Responsibilities Assist the PT in delivering therapy services and exercises to students.
- Provide direct therapy services in individual and group settings.
- Collect and document student progress under PT supervision.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and the therapy team to reinforce therapy goals in the classroom.
- Prepare therapy materials and ensure a safe environment.
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and district regulations under the direction of the PT.
Qualifications
Associate’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. Active PTA license in the state of practice (or eligibility to obtain before start date). School-based or pediatric experience preferred, but not required. Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills. Passion for helping children achieve their functional and educational goals.
