Overview

DeSales University, in Center Valley, Pennsylvania, is a Catholic, private, coeducational, four-year liberal arts university. Founded by the Oblates of Saint Francis de Sales in 1964, the 550-acre suburban campus is located about 50 miles north of Philadelphia and 90 miles southwest of New York City. Position Summary

DeSales University is an NCAA Division III member. The Assistant Volleyball Coach will be responsible for assisting the head coach in practice, planning, game preparation, recruiting responsibilities and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Acceptance to, and continued enrollment in a DeSales University graduate program required
  • Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record required
  • Prior successful playing or coaching experience at the collegiate level preferred; successful high school or club coaching experience considered
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Commitment to developing positive relationships with student-athletes, coaches, administration, and DeSales community
  • Proficiency with both Windows and Mac Operating Systems
  • Proficiency with Photoshop is a valuable asset
  • Sensitive to issues of ethnicity, disability and diversity
