- The School Based Therapist will provide therapeutic interventions to include individual, family, group therapy and clinical case management with clients while embedded at a school within Jefferson County Public Schools. The position is designed to reduce barriers to care by bringing services directly to students. We have multiple positions available at various different schools. The following schools are hiring:

Education, knowledge, skills & experience required
- Conferred Master's Degree in social work or related field required.
- Clinical License preferred (LCSW, LPC, LMFT). Candidate status required (SWC, LPCC, MFTC)
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- CAT/CAS/LAC preferred
Essential
Duties and Responsibilities
- Adhere to Jefferson Center and District policy.
- Collaborate with all parties essential to consumer welfare including but not limited to the school district, child welfare system, juvenile justice system, school-based health centers, families and other community resources.
- Actively engage students through classroom presentations, assembly presentations, or groups with common needs.
- Exhibit enthusiasm, courtesy, adaptability, flexibility and spirit of cooperation at all times.
- Work to enhance relationships with community partners
- Effectively work with the school to ensure student needs are being met.
- Engage and share knowledge of clinical skills with peers
- Participate in supervision by coming prepared and attending at times and intervals agreed upon with supervisor at least 2 x a month
- Provide individual, family and group therapy during regular school hours and before or after school as needed for families.
- Refer/link families to both Jefferson Center and outside programs as appropriate
- Follow all legal requirements regarding reporting safety concerns and abuse/neglect.
- Plan and implement affective education classroom groups as determined by supervisor.
- Attend clients’ Jefferson Center psychiatrist appointments as needed.
- Engage consumer and family in the treatment process and goal setting. Will identify client goals and desired outcomes including outcomes related to safety risk and/or substance use. Treatment progress will be regularly reviewed.
- Effectively respond to communications in a timely manner.
- Attend parent/teacher conferences and back-to-school nights or other school functions if needed.
- Attend school meetings where appropriate.
- Meet required productivity hours.
- Complete 95% of all paperwork by due date.
- Complete 90% of clinical notes within 3 days.
- Participate in team meetings.
- Attend all complete all mandatory trainings
- Participate at summer programming if working over the summer months.
- Document all work in EHR.
- Report high risk cases to supervisor and actively engage in supervisions.
CAT/CAS/LAC Duties
- Participate in the Centers’ SUD meetings and related trainings
- Participate in monthly SUD clinical supervision (individual or group)
- Provide supervision to Center staff appropriate to licensure to assist in the development of knowledge and skills in providing co-occurring treatment
- Complete substance use screening, assessments and related paperwork

Salary Grade 51 - Master’s Unlicensed Clinician $57,000 - $64,000*
Salary Grade 52 - (Licensed Clinician LCSW, LMFT, LPC) $70,000 – $77,200*
Additional Salary Information*
• The salary range above is based on 1.0 FTE (full time equivalent) or 40 hours per week. Less than 40 hours/week will be prorated and adjusted to the appropriate FTE.*
