Job description

Crossroads ABA Center seeks a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) for a new program! This is an in-office, part-time position, and schedule is to be determined, but can be between the hours of 9am-5pm or 3pm-6pm. The RBT provides direct one-on-one and small-group therapy to children with autism and related developmental disabilities in a center-based environment. Under the supervision of a BCBA, the RBT implements individualized treatment plans to promote communication, social, play, and adaptive skills while reducing challenging behaviors using the principles of Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA).

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (bachelor's degree in psychology, education, or a related field preferred)
  • Experience working with children, especially those with autism or developmental disabilities
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and engage in physical activity throughout the day
  • Reliable, punctual, and compassionate demeanor
  • RBT certification preferred (organization may provide training and supervision for certification) Job Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
  • Implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and skill acquisition programs as designed by the supervising BCBA
  • Collect accurate and consistent data on target behaviors and skill goals during each therapy session
  • Use positive reinforcement and evidence-based ABA strategies to promote learning and independence
  • Assist with daily routines including transitions, toileting, meals, and playtime as appropriate
  • Collaborate with the clinical team to review progress and make recommendations for program adjustments
  • Follow all ethical guidelines outlined by the BACB and organizational policies Job Type: Part-time Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
