Position Summary
The Extended Day Program Teacher is responsible for leading students in a safe and engaging after-school experience and reports directly to the Director of the Extended Day Program (EDP). Essential
Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following: Directly supervise and engage a group of students in activities daily, ensuring emotional and physical safety for all students in their care Collaborate with other teachers to plan a range of activities and programs for students Participate in 2:15 meetings several times each week with the EDP Director and other teachers to plan, collaborate, and discuss topics around EDP Prepare for instruction daily, including setting up spaces, gathering materials, and communicating with the EDP Director and other teachers about students, lessons, and any other needs Model appropriate, positive behavior for students and respond appropriately to challenging student behaviors based on school-wide expectations and management strategies Perform other duties as required Schedule School Year Monday through Friday, 2:15 pm to 4:30 pm. Some teachers will start as early as 11:30 on Wednesdays. Some teachers will stay until 5:30 one or more days each week. Compensation $25.00 - $30.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
Minimum Qualifications: Successful criminal background check Prior experience in a related position working with children
