Overview
Chrysalis House Skill Builders will engage and establish mutually respectful, trusting relationships with the youth we serve. Staff will utilize a strength-based, trauma-informed approach to working with youth. Skill Builders are responsible for coordination of life skills programming and parenting education curriculum at Chrysalis House. Staff will conduct on-going assessments of youth's skill level and create individual/group training opportunities. This includes teaching group living skills and implementation of an evidence-based parenting education curriculum. The Chrysalis House Skill Builder (s) will also be responsible for providing direct supervision and support to residents during traditional and non-traditional hours.

Responsibilities
Crisis intervention and response Conduct on-going assessments of participants life skills and parenting education needs Implementation of life skills training and parenting education curriculum Incorporating CYS philosophy and effective teaching approaches Transporting program participants, as required and consistent with agency policies Maintains clear professional boundaries Understands and promotes strength-based, trauma informed service delivery (youth leadership, asset development) Manages group dynamics and demonstrates various intervention techniques Maintains accurate and up to date client records Required Qualifications: Associates Degree in Human Services, and 1 year experience OR Bachelors Degree OR equivalent combination of education and experience Skills: Problem Solving Decision Making Pay Rate: $19- $21 per hour The Center for Youth Provides Equal Employment Opportunities
