Job description

ReMed, a Collage Rehabilitation Partner is a growing organization dedicated to excellence, honesty and ethics in the treatment of our clients and each other. For more than 40 years, we’ve developed programs to meet the diverse needs of clients with moderate to severe traumatic and acquired brain injuries. We provide treatment for post-concussion syndrome, stroke, memory loss, neurobehavioral issues and accident or sports-related head injuries.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 7AM-3PM

Hourly Rate: $19-$21 per hour, based off of education and experience

  • We are searching for a Full-Time Day Program Activities Specialist to work in our residential program located in East Brunswick, NJ.
  • Develops and implements culturally sensitive recreational, leisure, health-oriented, educational, physical, spiritual, and intellectual (cognitive) activities for groups within the Day Program. Develops a monthly calendar and schedule of events that meets the needs and interests of the clients served
  • Writes monthly progress notes, quarterly reports and annual or semi-annual individual care plans according to established guidelines, time frames and licensure requirements
  • Works directly with the client and provides minimum to maximum assistance and/or supervision to promote the client’s success within their individual care plan needs
  • Participates in the on-call rotation as scheduled

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree and five years of experience working with persons with disabilities is required
  • ACBIS certification preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and run group activities in addition to providing direct client care as needed
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have a valid driver's license and responsible driving behaviors must be maintained
  • Ability to lift 50lbs
