  • Shift: Day Easterseals Western and Central Pennsylvania is a non-profit organization providing programs and services to individuals with disabilities and other special needs. We are celebrating over 100 years and are proud of our history! Part-time Behavior Support and Training Specialist is responsible for assisting in the development, implementation and evaluation of positive behavior support plans that enhance each identified individual’s social, emotional, and environmental progress. This includes providing training and support of staff in the implementation and continuation of existing behavior support plans, ensuring staff’s collection and evaluation of data on individual’s target behaviors and replacement behaviors, and assisting in the revision of behavior plans when necessary. This position is 20 hours per week at a rate of $28.00 per hour.

Qualifications

Behavior Support and Training Specialist Documented completion of a comprehensive behavior training program required. Bachelor’s degree required; major of special education or behavior therapy preferred. Behavior Analyst Certification Board certificate required. Completion of education credits needed to maintain license/certifications required. Acceptable Criminal Record Check required. Acceptable FBI Clearance required. Passing of physical examination and TB required. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES for the Specialist: include Design and implement a positive behavior support plan for identified individuals in the Franklin Division, utilizing professional input of program staff. Demonstrate a minimum of 70% of total behavioral support hours as face-to-face time (in person or virtual) interfacing with family, DSPs, FLSs, and individuals. Demonstrate use of data to impact individual outcomes (review to include law enforcement, restrictive procedures, inpatient, restraint, confirmed abuse/neglect, polypharmacy, target behavioral data, individuals’ satisfaction with services). Follow up after a hospitalization for mental illness at 7 day minimum. BENEFITS This is a regular, part-time position, working 20 hours a week. The hourly rate of pay is $28.00.
