What You’ll Do Support the planning and execution of engaging, competitive, and developmentally appropriate practices Assist with coaching during varsity matches, tournaments, and team events Help cultivate a positive, inclusive, and growth-oriented team culture Mentor and support student-athletes in skill development, teamwork, leadership, and sportsmanship Collaborate with the Head Coach, athletic department, and school community to uphold program expectations and school values Assist with team communication, equipment organization, and uniform management Support the safe and effective use of athletic facilities and equipment Travel to games and events throughout the Portland metro area
Previous volleyball coaching and/or competitive playing experience required High school, club, collegiate, or youth coaching experience strongly preferred Demonstrated ability to positively connect with and motivate student-athletes Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Commitment to creating an inclusive and respectful team environment NFHS/OSAA coaching certifications (or ability to obtain upon hire) Current First Aid/CPR certification, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire Reliable transportation to attend practices and athletic events throughout the Portland metro area
