Lead Toddler Teacher Key Responsibilities

Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities and lesson plans aligned with The Goddard School curriculum for older toddlers Foster each child's social, emotional, cognitive, language and physical development during this critical growth stage Support toddlers through key milestones including language development, independence, potty training and self-regulation Maintain a safe, clean and stimulating classroom environment that meets all health and licensing standards Supervise and mentor Assistant Teachers in the toddler classroom Communicate daily with parents regarding their child's milestones, behavior, progress and daily activities Manage toddler-specific classroom dynamics including transitions, routines and behavior guidance with patience and consistency Maintain accurate developmental records and portfolios for each child Adhere to all health, safety and licensing guidelines What We Offer (Varies By Location)

Qualifications

CDA, Associate or bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field required; bachelor's preferred Minimum 2 years of experience working with toddlers or young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting Strong understanding of toddler development including language acquisition, emotional regulation and independence-building Demonstrates patience, consistency and genuine warmth with toddlers and their families Ability to lead and collaborate effectively with classroom team members Strong daily communication skills with parents — written and verbal updates are a key part of this role Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children If you're a dedicated, energetic educator with a passion for the toddler years, join us!
