Founded 26 years ago, Trinity School for Children is a high-performing K–8 charter school located in the West Tampa area, proudly serving families throughout Tampa Bay and surrounding areas.

Trinity School for Children is seeking an exceptional, student-centered educator to join our Student Services team for the 2026–2027 school year as a part-time ESE Certified Teacher. We are looking for a collaborative professional who is passionate about supporting the intellectual and social emotional development of students. The position offers flexible scheduling with a potential for 15-20 hours per week.

The ESE Teacher is responsible for providing high-quality instruction and support services to students with exceptional learning needs within an inclusive, engaging educational environment. This role promotes life-long learning through exploratory and interactive instruction that empowers students to become responsible citizens, critical thinkers, and confident decision-makers.

Position Details

  • Position Type: Part-Time, 10-Month Employee
  • Location: Tampa, Florida
  • Travel Requirements: Limited local travel for school-related events and activities
  • Essential responsibilities
  • Adhere to all policies, procedures, and ethical standards established by the Florida Department of Education, the School Board, and Trinity School for Children.
  • Demonstrate professionalism through punctuality, reliability, timely completion of responsibilities, and appropriate communication regarding attendance and leave requests.
  • Maintain accurate student records, reports, documentation, and instructional data as required.
  • Support and uphold the Mission Statement and Credo of Trinity School for Children.
  • Ensure a safe, organized, and positive learning environment that supports student achievement and well-being.
  • Provide instruction and support services to students in accordance with assigned schedules and instructional settings.
  • Develop and implement differentiated lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, student learning needs, and Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Monitor student progress through assessments, data collection, and ongoing evaluation of academic and behavioral goals.
  • Foster an inclusive classroom culture that promotes academic growth, independence, and social-emotional development.
  • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, interventions, accommodations, and educational technologies to support diverse learners.
  • Collaborate effectively with students, families, teachers, administrators, and support staff to ensure student success.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Support and participate in school events, activities, and community initiatives as appropriate.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university
  • Valid Florida Teaching Certificate with ESE certification
  • ESOL and Reading Endorsements; preferred
  • Minimum of three (3) years of ESE teaching experience; preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of best practices in differentiated instruction, inclusion, and special education services
  • Strong communication, collaboration, organizational, and classroom management skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Principal and School Board may deem appropriate and acceptable
