Job Summary

The Human Resources Intern will support the HR department with records management and digital file organization initiatives. This temporary paid internship is designed for students pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field who are interested in gaining hands-on experience in HR operations and confidential records management.

The primary focus of this role will be assisting with the transition of physical employee records into the organization’s digital filing system. The intern will work with both active and terminated employee files and must maintain a high level of confidentiality, professionalism, and attention to detail.

This internship is intended to support a temporary organizational project and is anticipated to last approximately 3–6 months depending on departmental needs and project progress.

  • Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Scan and upload employee documentation into the organization’s digital HR system
  • Organize and maintain electronic personnel records
  • Review files for completeness and assist in identifying missing documentation
  • Assist with records retention and file organization practices
  • Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information
  • Follow organizational policies regarding privacy, data handling, and recordkeeping
  • Support general administrative HR tasks as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • Interest in Human Resources operations or compliance
  • Previous administrative or office experience preferred but not required
  • Familiarity with digital filing systems or document management processes is a plus
