Deliver comprehensive speech therapy treatment to preschool students within the Head Start school-based program. Collaborate with parents, teaching staff, and interdisciplinary teams to assess needs and provide educational recommendations.
Monday-Friday 8a-4:30p
Responsibilities: Travel within the Schenectady area to treat children in a school setting. Deliver a comprehensive treatment program Identify and refer students for related services (audiology, medical, etc. as appropriate). Participates in the student’s annual review process Assess a student’s needs through the continuum of care and provides appropriate educational and treatment recommendations. Completes all documentation in accordance with regulatory and facility's compliance standards. Participates as part of an interdisciplinary team that works closely with parents and teaching staff.
Minimum
Requirements: Graduate of an approved Speech Pathology Therapy program with a Master’s degree Completion of Clinical Fellowship preferred. Might consider a CF whose had strong school-based peds placements Current NYS Speech Pathologist license and registration Certified by the American Speech and Hearing Association Experience with pediatric patients is a must Flexibility, exceptional clinical reasoning skills, and excellent communication skills are essential.
Pay
Range :$42.89 - $55.52 Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
