- Shift: DayWhat do we look for in a Volunteer? Attend all necessary trainings and meetings. Report to shift on time. Call within 24 hours (or as soon as you are aware of cancellations) and find a sub from approved list when possible. Supervise safe arrival and departure of children. Clean up area before departure. Report any incidents to the Program Director. Learn and adhere to YMCA rules, policies, and procedures. Update staff, members, and parents about program/event/child process as needed.
