Teacher Key Responsibilities

• Curriculum and
• Instruction: STEAM based innovative curriculum, Wonder Of Learning lesson plans are already prepared and very easy to use, and fun Foster a love of learning through creative and engaging teaching methods Activities are adjustable to the interest and needs of the children
• Classroom
• Management: Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment Manage daily routines and transitions smoothly Address behavioral issues with positive guidance and support
• Health and
• Safety: Ensure the cleanliness and orderliness of the classroom and common areas Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and procedures Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities to ensure their safety and well-being
• Professional
• Development: Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities Stay current with best practices in early childhood education Collaborate with other teachers and staff to share ideas and strategies

Qualifications

Some courses completed in Early Childhood Education or related field Preferred-Not required- NCECC (Credentials) , or Equivalent Current Qualifying Letter/ Ability To Obtain A Qualifying Letter- (North Carolina requires this- candidates who are offered a position receive instructions, this process involves a making an appointment for a criminal background check and receiving a letter which typically takes about a week to ten days but some individual circumstances can vary). 1-2 years of previous experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting preferred Experience with classroom management of medium to large groups of toddlers to preschool aged children, depending on the age of children could range from 12 to 24 with a co-teacher, and from 5 to 13 at times by yourself, depending on ages.
