Key Responsibilities Provide one-on-one tutoring for elementary students (Grades K–5) Support foundational skills in Reading, Writing, Mathematics, and other elementary subjects Assist students with homework completion, study habits, and organizational skills Develop individualized learning plans based on student needs and goals Monitor student progress and communicate regularly with families Create a positive, engaging, and encouraging learning environment Travel to students' homes throughout Upper Manhattan and/or The Bronx
Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree or teaching certification preferred Experience teaching or tutoring elementary-aged students Strong understanding of elementary curriculum and instructional strategies Ability to engage young learners and differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills Reliable transportation for in-person tutoring assignments Authorized to work in the United States

Qualified applicants will hold a bachelor's degree and meet at least one of the following criteria: Hold a valid New York State teaching certificate (or equivalent) Are currently completing a teacher education program and pursuing certification Have two or more years of classroom teaching experience in a public, private, or charter school Have experience as a lecturer or course instructor at an accredited U.S. college or university Are a Master's or PhD student with teaching assistant experience at an accredited U.S. college or university Have significant experience tutoring elementary-aged students and demonstrated success supporting academic growth
