  • Range: $54,759.00 SalaryJob Summary This position will provide instructional support to the chair, dean, and students. Essential Functions Teach courses offered in the Office Systems and Information Technology programs Fulfill faculty roles and responsibilities as outlined in Midland College Policy and Administrative Regulations published in the Faculty and Employee Handbooks Demonstrate safe and effective use of all classroom and lab equipment Prepare and communicate clear educational objectives while presenting current and accurate course content to the students Work with representatives of local businesses to further the program and enhance the instructional resources Attend advisory committee meetings Participate in recruiting and counseling activities Work may require split day and evening work schedule Other duties as assigned Physical Demands Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time The person in this position needs to occasionally move or drive to other locations on and off campus This position may require occasional travel for training, meetings, and events both in and out of town Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation Use of manual dexterity The person in this position frequently communicates with others; must be able to exchange accurate information Frequently moves equipment or paperwork weighing up to 50 pounds Office and classroom setting This position may require a split workday and/or an evening work schedule QualificationsRequired Qualifications Associate's degree or equivalent with three years of directly related experience Computer literate with experience in the latest version of MS Windows and Microsoft Office Familiar with PC hardware, including installation of operating systems, system backup, and "ghosting" of hard drives Communication skills with public speaking and organization skills Must possess a valid Texas Driver's license, good driving record, and be insurable on Midland College's insurance policy

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree Experience with MAC hardware
