Market context

Massachusetts nursing faculty demand remains selective

In Massachusetts, Professor of Practice Nursing roles are typically driven by nursing school staffing needs, clinical education expansion, and faculty turnover, so candidates with current bedside expertise are often in demand. These positions are competitive because schools usually look for an unencumbered Massachusetts RN license and substantial acute or critical care medical-surgical experience, with a PhD or DNP preferred but MSN candidates sometimes considered. Review the AI-summarized requirements and benefits on this platform to save time, then tailor your application to highlight teaching readiness and recent clinical practice.
