Job summary

Dynamic Access Educator provides infusion and/or vascular access education and training to clients on demand or on-going basis.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Nursing form an accredited institution. Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
  • Registered Nurse with current, valid license and if required by the State Board of Nursing, also in the State where teaching. The Director of Nursing and/ or Area clinical educator will make this determination.
  • 5 + years of nursing experience
  • Illustrates competency in the content of the planned learning experience
  • 1 years’ experience in infusion therapy and/or vascular access is preferred
  • Prefer a nurse who is Board Certified by Association of Vascular Access (VA-BC) and/or Certification by Infusion Nurses Certification Corporation (CRNI) upon hire or able to obtain within 12 months of hire
  • Demonstrates ability to interact and communicate effectively
  • Demonstrates proficiency with computers, general office machines, cell phones, text messaging or email correspondence
  • Background screening required, including but not limited to criminal background check, drug test, reference check, sex offender database check, and OIG check

Essential job functions

  • Demonstrates ability to present information clearly, thoroughly address questions, and demonstrate procedures following principles of adult learning
  • Demonstrates ability to coach and/or precept learners during return skill demonstrations
  • Confirm date/time of class and ensures necessary supplies, equipment, and printed materials are available for course presentation
  • Inform Area Clinical Educator and Director of Nursing of any potential or actual issue before, during, or after presentation
  • Ensure necessary paperwork is completed by learners. This should include:

1. Sign-in sheets with license numbers

1. pre/post- tests

1. skills checklists

  • 1. others as needed
  • Submit necessary paperwork properly and to correct personnel in a timely manner
  • Submit accurate Employee Expense within approved times per company policy
  • Maintain in depth knowledge of AVA, INS, and CDC standards, position statements, and best practice guidelines
  • Establish rapport and implement interventions necessary to meet the needs of learners
  • Represents Dynamic Access Education in a positive and professional manner, both in the workplace and in the community
