  • Percentage: Up to 25%Full Time / Salary / Exempt WORK SCHEDULE Specific times are to be negotiated with Nursing Chair, since faculty may have different schedules with respect to class, labs, and/or clinical times. JOB SUMMARY The School of Nursing is seeking a nurse educator with a strong commitment to teaching excellence, scholarship, and innovation. The individual must be able to work collaboratively with a dynamic team, as well as work independently when necessary. This individual will serve as a member of the School of Nursing faculty with responsibility for teaching within the traditional BSN program.

  • Functions: Teach didactic and clinicals. Advise traditional undergraduate students. Work under pressure and meet deadlines. Maintain positive interpersonal relationships. Actively participate in continuous assessment. Serve on committees. Additional duties, consistent with educator’s talents and experience, to support the School of Nursing in the achievement of program outcomes.

  • Qualifications: Southern Nazarene University is an expression of the Church of the Nazarene. Master of Science in Nursing Active, unencumbered RN license in Oklahoma Two years or more of clinical experience Previous teaching experience preferred Capacity for learning required software for advising, student learning management systems, and testing Commitment to high-quality instruction in a student-centered environment with interest in active and collaborative learning, as well as instructional use of technology Experience creating courses and evaluating outcomes

Requirements
