The Children’s Services of ACLD provides a continuum of services to children from ages three to twenty-one in their pre-school and after-school programs. We currently have an opportunity for a Teacher Aide to join our Bay Shore Facility. In this role, you will perform one-on-one non-instructional duties under supervision of the classroom teacher and program supervisors. You will also assist assigned student with all classroom related activities and duties as indicated by the child’s Individual Education Plan.
We require
- High School Diploma preferred
- Minimum of one year experience working with children in a classroom or childcare environment preferred.
- Experience working with children with special needs is preferred.
- Must have the ability to supervise children in a variety of educational settings including, but not limited to, self-contained, integrated, and off-site.
- Must be at least 18 years of age to supervise children independently.
- Must be physically able to handle all aspects of the supervision of the day-to-day activities of preschoolers which may include, but not limited to, running, bending, lifting children..
Full Time 7: 45-3:15 Mon- Fri
