Job description

Gersh Autism is seeking a skilled and dedicated Licensed Assistant Behavior Analyst (LABA) to join our team in Issaquah (Cougar Mountain), WA. As a LABA, you will play a pivotal role in the development and implementation of behavior intervention plans, ensuring that our students receive the highest quality of support and care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive assessments of individuals with autism to identify strengths and areas of need.
  • Functional

  • Assessments (FBA): Conduct FBAs to identify the function of challenging behaviors and develop behavior intervention plans (BIPs) accordingly.
  • Individualized
  • Programming: Develop and oversee individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) for students, tailoring interventions to meet their unique needs.
  • Data
  • Collection and
  • Analysis: Implement data collection systems and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and make data-driven decisions.
  • Training and
  • Collaboration: Provide training and support to staff, teachers, and families to ensure consistency in implementing behavior intervention strategies.
  • Progress
  • Monitoring: Regularly monitor and review students' progress, making necessary adjustments to BIPs as required.
  • Team
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including speech therapists, occupational therapists, and educational staff, to create a holistic support system.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant state regulations, ethical guidelines, and best practices in applied behavior analysis (ABA).

Requirements

Licensed Behavior Analyst: Hold a valid License in Applied Behavior Analysis (LABA) in the state of Washington. Enrolled in Master's program for ABA Experience: Previous experience working with individuals with autism and developing behavior intervention plans. Excellent Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with students, families, and staff. Data Analysis: Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and interpretation to inform decision-making.
