Job description

  • Liberty POST is currently seeking motivated and energetic Early Childhood Occupational Therapists (OT) for part-time and/or full-time employment to work with children who are birth-5 years old through Early Intervention and Preschool Special Education programs.
  • Immediate positions are available in our office in Hauppauge as well as throughout Long Island.

Duties and Responsibilities

Assess, monitor and track child’s progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly using our Electronic Medical Record system. Conduct Occupational Therapy sessions for children with various diagnoses (ex: ASD, sensory issues, fine motor delay, etc.). Provide center-based and/or home care services. Effectively organize and maintain confidentially of child’s records and other documentations. Follow all state laws and regulations as it pertains to Early Intervention, CPSE/CSE special education.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience

Licensed Occupational Therapist in the State of New York required. Knowledge of New York State laws/regulations in regard to Occupational Therapy. Minimum of two years of experience working with children is preferred. Experience in sensory integration is preferred. A valid driver's license and proof of car insurance. Great interpersonal and communication skills.
