Job description

  • Overview As a RN Nurse Liaison, you will function as a nurse educator and consultant in collaboration with other clinicians regarding health promotion and maintenance, medication administration, and acute and chronic medical / psychiatric crisis management for persons served.
  • Functions in role of Medication Administration Program Consultant (as described in MAP Consultant description in Vinfen MAP Policy & Procedure Manual) to assigned sites.
  • Trains staff to receive MAC Certification.
  • Monitors program adherence to medication administration policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Reviews medication policies and occurrence reports.
  • Performs regular reviews at site(s) regarding implementation of MAC.
  • Retrains staff in MAP procedures, as needed and documents accordingly.
  • Serves as liaison to EOHHS/DPH and funding agency MAC Coordinators.
  • Provides 24/7 on-call nursing coverage to assigned sites on a rotating schedule.

Qualifications

A bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field is preferred, but experience may substitute for education. High school diploma or GED required. Current R.N. license in Connecticut 3-5 years experience in nursing. Strong time management and writing skills. All applicants must be at least 21 years of age and have a current, valid, US drivers' license for at least 6 months. All applicants must become CPR within 2 weeks of employment. All candidates must be able to successfully pass a CORI, reference, multi-state background and driving record check. Pay Range USD $85,000.00 - USD $85,000.00 /Yr.
