Assist camp leadership and counselors in supervising campers and facilitating scheduled activities. Support daily operations including meal assistance, field trip supervision, and camp cleaning.
The main function of the Counselor-in-Training is to assist Camp Director, Camp Leadership and Counselors with certain summer camp duties during summer camp. This is a volunteer, un-paid position. CIT's earn Service Hours that may be applied to required service hours for school, church, Scouts, clubs and organizations. CIT's who perform well are considered for rehire in a paid counselor position the following year.
End of May through the first week of August.
Must be physically and mentally able to meet the challenges of navigating and working in destination-based facilities.
The Counselor-in-Training of a Kidcam Camp reports to their direct Supervisor, and the Director.
Greet parents in the morning.
Open car doors during carpool.
Maintain a professional attitude when attending off-and on-campus field trips.
Maintain a positive rapport with campers, parents, camp Director, and all other camp location personnel.
