Job description
- The Athletic Department is looking for a graduate teaching assistant who will help support the function and work under the direct supervision of an athletic coach or staff mentor.
- Graduate Teaching Assistant - Athletic Coaches should attend GTA training prior to starting their position.

- MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES To assist the Cross Country and Track & Field Coach in building and managing a dynamic team program where players demonstrate exceptional skills while fully committed to the mission and goals of the program while adhering to NCAA rules and regulations Attend classes to successfully complete a graduate program at Marymount University.
- Assist in recruiting, scouting, and practice planning.
- Coordinate video and statistical analysis.
- Perform game day duties as assigned.
- Monitor equipment inventory and care.
- Assist with organizational planning (travel, community service, study hall, etc.).
- Support player development and assist with roster management.
- Help with the planning and organization of camps and clinics.
- Follow Athletic Department Policy and Procedures.
- Provide positive leadership for student-athletes by example.
- Know and comply with all NCAA rules and regulations.
- Annually pass the NCAA Coach's Certification Exam.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Proficient in social media content creation and profile management.
- OTHER DUTIES AND QUALIFICATIONS Good Interpersonal Skills Experience with film analysis system Experience with Social Media JOB REQUIREMENTS Education: Bachelors degree and successful admittance and enrollment to a Marymount University graduate degree program Experience: Cross Country or Track & Field participation or coaching experience preferred Licenses/ Certifications: Valid drivers license Financial Responsibility: None Supervision: None SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS Ability to travel; heavy lifting required (50 pounds and over); may be required to work when the university is closed.
