Description Job Purpose Responsible for reshelving of books, shelf reading, and scanning materials

Duties and Responsibilities

Reshelving books 65% - reports to the circulation manager any on-going issues regarding interfiling errors. Maintain neatness and organization of the reshelving area Scanning materials as needed 20% Shelf reading/straightening 10% Other duties as required by supervisor 5%

Attention to detail, ability to organize and prioritize tasks Familiarity with Library of Congress call numbers Dependable, flexible, able to take direction, interacts well with co-workers and library patrons

Working Conditions Various shifts cover all hours the library is open which may include opening and closing the library. Up to 10 hours per week total depending on demand.

  • Physical Requirements and Work Environment Some lifting (up to 25 lbs.), pushing of carts (up to 50 lbs.), bending, and stooping required.
