Reports to the Head Teacher and Director. Full-time position. Monday through Friday. 35 hours per week.
  • GENERAL
  • DUTIES: Follows state licensing regulations. Promotes the safety and health of children under their supervision. Plans and implements appropriate classroom activities. Assist children in development of social and self-help skills. Facilitates a safe and healthy classroom environment. Assure that classroom equipment, furniture, materials, and supplies are properly maintained and stored. Supports the Head Teacher in completing documentation. Maintains student portfolios and records. Participates in scheduled conferences and meetings as directed. INTERACTIONS WITH OTHERS Greets children and their family warmly and with enthusiasm every day. Maintains confidentiality of child and family information at all times. Compassionate role model. Sense of humor, high ethical professional standards, and multi-cultural perspective. Ability to demonstrate cooperative behavior at all times and communicate well with all levels of staff, supervisors, children, and families.   • QualificationsREQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS: CDA or 12 ECE credits minimum Preferred Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education. At least one year working with preschool aged children. Physical exam, TB test, background checks, and fingerprinting. Attends First Aid, CPR, and mandatory training workshops. Ability to perform physical activities needed in the daily care of children. Must be at least 18 years old - Bilingual a plus. Computer literate and comfortable with acquiring new technology skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
