Position overview

About the Position

As a Secondary SEI/EL Teacher, you will play a vital role in fostering curiosity, confidence, and a love for learning in students during a key stage of their development. You will design dynamic lessons, build strong relationships, and create a supportive classroom environment where every student can thrive.

Position qualifications

  • Education
  • Bachelor's degree in education or related field
  • Teacher certification preferred
  • Experience teaching elementary grades
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Excellent communication and technology skills
  • Other Requirements
  • Must possess or have the ability to obtain a valid IVP fingerprint clearance card by the time of hire.
  • Essential job tasks
  • Develop and deliver engaging, standards-based lesson plans
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment
  • Assess student progress and tailor instruction to meet diverse needs
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum and school culture
  • Participate in school events and activities
  • Complete additional duties in collaboration with the team to deliver an exceptional student experience
  • Maintains accurate, complete, legible and correct records as required by law, district policy and administrative regulation.
  • Takes necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in education or a related field and possess a valid IVP fingerprint clearance card. Teacher certification and experience teaching elementary grades are preferred.
