Nurse Aide Paraeducator/Program Assistant
Summary
The Nurse Aide Paraeducator/Program Assistant works closely with the Nurse Aide Training Program Lead and Nurse Aide Instructors to enhance student achievement and provide support for various academic administrative activities of the program , to include but is not limited to, preparing the classroom/lab for instruction, working directly with individual students and small groups in the classroom, providing skills practice in the nursing lab, assisting with attendance, test administration, certification and compliance requirements, the collections of program related payments, and the input of student data in the appropriate systems.
Requirements
- Responsible for enhancing student achievement by working directly with students in small groups and individually within the classroom
- Assist the Instructor in providing skills practice in the nursing lab and preparing students for the state licensing exam
- Assist the Instructor with ensuring that each student’s unique learning needs are being supported during instruction
- Assist in test administration, review of homework assignments, scoring and data entry of grades in Schoology and Maestro.
- Provide administrative duties as requested by the lead teacher (bulletin board creation, collecting or passing out papers, making photocopies when necessary)
