Qualifications
Master's degree from accredited school Licensed or provisionally licensed (with your own supervisor) in the state of Missouri (LCSW, LMSW, LPC, PLPC) One year experience assessing the psychological and educational needs of children and adolescents ages 2-18 and delivering treatment services, preferably in a school setting Knowledge of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Trauma informed REPORTS TO: Counseling Supervisor, Miriam Learning Center
Position Summary
The Licensed Clinical Social Worker/ Counselor evaluates the psycho-social needs of early childhood aged children and adolescents and makes appropriate recommendations to improve functioning at school and in the community. He/she provides individual, group and/or family counseling. Settings for work duties include on-site at the Learning Center during the school year.
Responsibilities
To provide a comprehensive and professional assessment of each child's psycho-social issues. To make appropriate recommendations based upon assessment results. To complete assessment reports in a professional and timely manner. To determine an appropriate treatment pathway for a child/family. To maintain contact with other professionals at the Center, in the school, and with the family to ensure coordinated treatment efforts. To submit notes and billing in a timely manner. To refer the child and/or family for community services as needed. To provide individual, group and/or family counseling using a CBT model. Any other duties as specified by the supervisor.
