Market context
In Texas, after-school counselor openings often draw candidates who can work with children, manage routines, and meet basic screening requirements. This role is competitive because employers typically look for reliability, a high school diploma, and readiness to pass a background check and drug screen, while benefits like tuition assistance, training, a free YMCA membership, and a new staff bonus can help offset the hourly pay range. Review the AI-summarized requirements and benefits here to save time, then confirm your availability and screening readiness before applying.
