Position Summary
The Water Fitness Instructor will lead the facility's swim fitness. The ages will range between 12-60 years old. Applicants should be able to construct, articulate, and execute proper sessions and deliver curriculum in line with organizational philosophy. NOTE: Candidates must not currently be employed with a competing venue or partner organization. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO: Teaching relevant skills, tactics, and techniques to a wide range of athletes, individuals and group Monitoring, evaluating, and enhancing athlete performance and needs. Providing suitable feedback via positivity, encouragement, example, and motivation Demonstrating an activity clearly by breaking down the task or technique into a sequence Friendly and courteous with athletes, parents, and Sand Mountain team members Identifying athlete strengths and areas for development Ensuring a safe environment for all athletes Implementing the curriculum in an accurate, creative, positive, and efficient fashion Organize meets, both home and away THE IDEAL CANDIDATE: Bachelor's degree preferred Coaching licenses (or active pursuit of) preferred Familiarity with contemporary coaching methodology Neat in appearance and professional in manner and communication Inspiring confidence and self-belief REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: Must have excellent interpersonal, problem solving and communication skills Must be a team player Must be willing to work a flexible schedule WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to move or lift lightweight equipment. Position requires standing and activity for extended periods of time (indoors or outdoors), squatting, stooping, jogging, or bending into awkward positions while performing job functions
