Preschool/Pre-K Assistant Teachers are responsible for direct interaction with the children in games, activities and free play, along with ensuring the general health, welfare and well-being of each child. Be active participants with the children enrolled, and effective communicators with parents, children, supervisors and co-workers. As well as accepting supervision from the Program Director, must exhibit initiative by demonstrating leadership without being prompted by other staff. Assisting in lunch/snack preparations. Daily cleaning of classroom and materials Additional duties are assigned by the Program Director. Enroll and attend 16 hours of off-site in-service annually. Learn and observe all JCPRD guidelines, policies, and procedures. Seasonal Benefits & discounts on JCPRD classes Hours: 15- 30 hours per week and shifts are flexible between 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Candidates must be at least 16 years old and have some experience with children. They must also meet training criteria set by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment and undergo a background screening.
