Overview

St.

Andrew Catholic School is seeking an After School Assistant.

This is a non-instructional position for the 2024-2025 school year.

This part-time position requires approximately 15 hours per week in the afternoon.

As an aftercare assistant, you will assist in the supervision of students in grades Pk3-8 in the school's aftercare program.

  • Job Responsibilities
  • Supervise students during all after-school activities
  • Ability to work with various age/grade groups
  • Aids students with homework
  • Implements age-appropriate activities
  • Monitors safety for students always
  • Accompanies younger students to the restroom
  • Maintains discipline and decorum
  • Maintains a clean and organized classroom
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Previous childcare experience preferred
  • Maintain a calm nature in a sometimes-chaotic environment

Requirements

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and strong communication and organizational skills. Previous childcare experience is preferred, along with the ability to remain calm in chaotic environments.
