Description Do you love helping young children learn, grow, and explore the world around them?

Miami Children's Museum's Early Childhood Institute (ECI) is seeking a caring and energetic Preschool Afterschool Instructor to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with young children, creating engaging learning experiences, and supporting their social, emotional, and developmental growth in a fun and nurturing environment.

As a member of our education team, you'll lead engaging afterschool activities, support daily classroom routines, and help create meaningful experiences that encourage creativity, curiosity, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning.

What You'll Do Lead a classroom of preschool-aged children in a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment.

Plan and facilitate age-appropriate activities that support children's social, emotional, and developmental growth.

Foster creativity and curiosity through art, music, storytelling, science, math, and hands-on exploration.

Encourage positive behavior, independence, confidence, and problem-solving skills through daily interactions and classroom activities.

Supervise children throughout the program and ensure their safety and well-being at all times.

Communicate professionally with parents, caregivers, teachers, and fellow staff members.

Maintain attendance records and support program documentation as needed.

Requirements

DCF 45-Hour Child Care Training completed or in progress. At least one year of experience working with or leading groups of young children in an educational setting. Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to create a warm, supportive, and engaging learning environment for preschool-aged children. Passion for early childhood education and helping young learners develop confidence and independence. Pediatric CPR/First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain certification.
