Duties

Teach assigned classes in Church History & Doctrine (Rel C 200 Eternal Family; Rel C 333 Living Prophets). Classes may be day, evening, BYU Online, or BYU Salt Lake Center classes. BYU’s Department of Church History & Doctrine is dedicated to furthering the mission of Brigham Young University and BYU Religious Education to teach the restored gospel of Jesus Christ from the scriptures and modern prophets in a way that helps each student develop faith, become lifelong disciples of Jesus Christ, and strengthen their ability to find answers, resolve doubts, and respond with faith. In a cover letter, candidates should describe their qualifications for—and interest in—teaching the Foundations of the Restoration course, including academic training, past teaching experience, and other evidence of competency and proficiency for teaching the course.
