What you’ll do

  • As a Twos Teacher, you will create a safe, loving, and engaging classroom where learning happens through exploration and guided instruction. You will:
  • Plan and implement daily lessons aligned with Maryland Early Learning Standards and Montessori principles
  • Maintain a structured and nurturing classroom environment that supports early development
  • Observe, assess, and document children’s progress and milestones
  • Guide positive behavior and support smooth classroom routines and transitions
  • Build strong, professional communication with families regarding student development
  • Collaborate with co-teachers and school leadership to ensure a consistent learning experience
  • Maintain accurate records including attendance, progress reports, and incident documentation
  • Ensure full compliance with MSDE and OCC licensing requirements
  • Participate in training, meetings, and ongoing professional development

What we’re looking for

We are seeking individuals who are passionate about early childhood education and ready to contribute to a supportive learning environment.

Required Qualifications

  • At least 19 years old
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion or willingness to complete
  • MSDE-required training:
  • 90-hour Preschool Certification
  • 45-hour Child Growth & Development
  • 45-hour Preschool Curriculum
  • 9-hour Communication Course
  • Basic Health & Safety Training
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification
  • Maryland State background check and fingerprint clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
  • Montessori certification (AMI, AMS, or MACTE)
  • 2+ years of experience in a licensed early childhood program
