Job description
Responsibilities
- Assist with planning and conducting daily swim practices for age-group and/or senior-level athletes.
- Teach and reinforce proper stroke technique, starts, turns, and race strategies.
- Provide constructive feedback and individualized instruction to swimmers.
- Support athlete progression through goal setting, performance evaluation, and skill development.
- Attend and assist at local, regional, and championship swim meets as assigned.
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and safe training environment.
- Communicate effectively with swimmers, parents, and coaching staff.
- Assist with team events, clinics, and community outreach activities.
- Adhere to all USA Swimming policies, including Safe Sport requirements and athlete protection guidelines.
Qualifications
- Competitive swimming background required; collegiate swimming experience preferred.
- Previous coaching experience with age-group or competitive swimmers preferred.
- Strong knowledge of stroke mechanics, training methodologies, and race preparation.
- Ability to motivate and inspire swimmers of varying ages and skill levels.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
