- Mission: The Campus Substitute Teacher is a full-time member of the school community who provides consistent instructional and operational support to ensure students experience high-quality learning every day. This role is ideal for aspiring educators or school staff who are eager to gain hands-on experience, build relationships across a campus, and contribute to a strong school culture. Unlike a traditional per diem substitute position, the Campus Substitute Teacher is an active member of the school team and is expected to contribute throughout the workday, whether assigned to classroom coverage or supporting other campus priorities. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain meaningful school-based experience, build relationships with students and staff, and develop the skills needed for future growth within education.
- Your
- Impact: Substitute Teaching - approximately 75% Serve as a substitute teacher across grade levels, content areas, and student groups as needed. Implement lesson plans, maintain a positive classroom culture, and ensure continuity of learning during teacher absences. Demonstrate flexibility and responsiveness to changing campus coverage needs throughout the school day. Operational and classroom support - approximately 25% Support campus operational systems and priorities, including student supervision, arrival/dismissal, testing support, materials preparation, and other school-based needs. Assist in classrooms alongside lead teachers to support instruction, small-group learning, intervention, and student engagement. Participate in coaching, observation, and professional learning opportunities designed to build instructional skills and deepen understanding of effective teaching practices. Contribute positively to the school community by demonstrating professionalism, teamwork, and a willingness to support campus needs.
