Hastings College: Graduate Assistant - Strength & Conditioning
Hastings College Strength & Conditioning Program is searching for a Graduate Assistant for the 2026-2027 academic year. Responsible to the Director of Athletics and Head Coach assisting in the overall management and leadership of the intercollegiate program. This program will support the philosophy, mission, and standards of Hastings College, the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), and the NAIA.
Graduate Assistant positions include a tuition credits, a $5,000 yearly stipend, 80 meal swipes per semester, and on-campus housing free of charge for the individual.
We are reviewing for an August 2026 start.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and maintaining a highly competitive intercollegiate program within rules and regulations of the institution, the GPAC and NAIA.
- Cultivate and track long-term athletic development of assigned athletic teams including: strength, power, and mitigating injuries.
- Must be actively studying for the Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) test through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NCSA) and have a test date scheduled until completed.
- Complete daily operational tasks specified with your position on the Sports Performance staff (i.e. internship, open hours, social media, maintenance, etc.).
- Work cooperatively with faculty members, admission, alumni, and development office personnel, the sports information director, all student support services, and all athletic department personnel.
Bachelor's degree required. Admittance into the Hastings College Masters of Teaching Program is required.
